I'm glad to have found an African organization that I can confidently include. It has a solid history and it also has a four star rating in Charity Navigator. I want to go back and read more myself! See AMREF.

I was happy to find the Adopt-A-Native-Elder Program. Happy because they have a four star Charity Navigator rating and happy to see elders being supported. There are many options for giving here so it was hard to assign it a category. And then another four star Native American organization called The Native American Heritage Association which operates in South Dakota. This was another one with many options to give, but for now it is in the $25 category.

I was happy to find a really angelic site to add to this category. Vitaimin Angels!!

I'm also happy to add a newer charity. I can't find any ratings on it, but I feel confident it's worthy of inclusion. Midwives for Haiti !

I added a gallery today for what I hope will be the beginning of many fun submissions. It's also symbolic. Just as we have our coffee and turn on our computer each day, we could have a daily habit of asking ourselves what we have to give today.
Also doing work on the Resources page. Added another children's book and also a British website that is awfully colorful and cute. And a website with teaching tools for philanthropy skills.

Added CARE. I think this organization was the one that originated "care package." It's been around since 1945 and has a really comprehensive website.

I was excited to find this website called Drop In & Decorate for baking, decorating and donating cookies. Sounds easy, but this website puts it all together neatly with how-to's for everything imaginable. Definitely a great one-day activity.

This is a clearinghouse for UN Volunteers in their online capacity. I wish there were more opportunities listed and I hope it will grow, and that I can find more sites like this. For those of us who tend to be on our computers 24/7 this is a great way to contribute.
