Women Thrive develops, shapes and advocates for policies that foster economic opportunities for women living in poverty. Blood:Water Mission is an organization working to empower communities in Africa to work together against the HIV/AIDS and water crises. This is a really sweet idea--and they set you up with all the materials to run the stand and educate folks. I found out about this organization through an article in the Brattleboro Reformer. I used to live in Vermont so I'm happy when I see other Vermonters doing good things. I'd like this one no matter what, though! Les Espoirs de Demain is helping children in Senegal in so many ways.
