Microfinancing to end global poverty. In short, that is what the Grameen Foundation is about. Can you give $27 a month? Or once, even? That's what started this whole venture. Read all about it here.

Stop TB Partnership is connected with the World Health Organization. I bet many of you have never met someone with tuberculosis. I have. She had to take special medication for about a year. She was fine. But she was lucky to have easy access to that medication. Many don't and many die from TB... still. So this is a good place to put your $20. A nice website with lots of information, too.

I was happy to find the Adopt-A-Native-Elder Program. Happy because they have a four star Charity Navigator rating and happy to see elders being supported. There are many options for giving here so it was hard to assign it a category. And then another four star Native American organization called The Native American Heritage Association which operates in South Dakota. This was another one with many options to give, but for now it is in the $25 category.

Added FreeRice. Not just vocabulary, either!
Added Reader To Reader.
[My day job!]
Added One Brick. Good for those in their twenties and thirties I think.
Added Save The Children's program in Ethiopia. It's interesting to see that they have made the sponsor relationship web-based.

Just started reading Give A Little, by Wendy Smith and already felt it should be added to the list. She also has a website here.
Added Feeding America and the Darfur Stove Project. I think the Darfur Stove Project is a really inspiring project.
Also added NothingButNets which stops the spread of malaria.
