When I first clicked on the website of Trees For Life I naturally assumed it was about planting trees in needy areas. And that's how it started in the 1980's. But like a tree, this organization has grown steadily in many different directions. The founder is sure that knowledge and working together are the keys for growth. I liked the very simple Trees For Life Pledge. I also like that they have virtual opportunities to volunteer and also internships. This is an organization to keep an eye on and remember for a time in your life when you have both time and money, because working with them would be very interesting and rewarding.

Maybe micro-volunteering will be the wave of the future as we become more and more web-based in our lives. I am intrigued by Extraordinaries  and will be watching it to see where it goes. Crowdsourcing... who knew?
