I have unlimited money to give.

1. Kiva is a wonderful website that lets you invest in people all over the world. Their mission statement reads, "Kiva's mission is to connect people, through lending, for the sake of alleviating poverty." Take time to read through the different options. A Kiva gift certificate is a great present to give as well and is available in denominations of $25-$10000.

2. Pachamama Alliance works with the Achuar, an indigenous people in Southeast Ecuador, to ensure the long-term well-being of their lands and culture. They sponsor journeys to the Amazon Rainforest. This is  an option that combines fun, education and an introduction to a particular cause with a "soul stirring, life changing journey." Click here for specific dates and details of available trips. You've got the money, so now just find the time!

3. If you really have unlimited money, this is a cheapie for you! For just $6000 you can sponsor a puppy through Puppies Behind Bars. If you did a double-take at that name, so did I. But go to the site where you'll find out that this is quite an interesting venture. The site succinctly puts it like this: "Puppies Behind Bars trains inmates to raise puppies to become service dogs for the disabled and explosive detection canines for law enforcement. Click here to read about the Puppy Sponsorship option. If you like dogs, you'll like this one.
